Hard to believe that Nike introduced Flyknit two years ago for runners around the world. Since then, the engineers and designers from Nike Kitchen has been cooking up for the hardwood. Many challenges were Kobe Bryant has been traveling all over the place lately, but Nike Basketball has made it clear they aren’t going anywhere but the moon with these Michael Jackson KB9 joints. Dropping in a Laker esque colorway, this Hyper Grape edition will be available as soon as next Saturday in major retailers.
Inspired by the King of Pop, the upper is beautifully done in multiple shades of Hyper Grape purple with a silver Swoosh to contrast. Simplified with a black midsole with carbon fiber shanks on the sides you also have a translucent sole that features the surface of the moon. Everything that made the Kobe 9 Elite great returns on the low without the high proprioceptive collar. You still got Nike Flywire to contain the foot, a full-length Lunarlon midsole, and an internal heel counter for supreme lockdown.
It is reported that these Flyknit Kobe 9 Lows are more limited than its Engineered Mesh counterpart despite being a general release. The Nike Kobe 9 Flyknit Low “Hyper Grape” aka “Michael Jackson” drops Saturday, July 12th for $200.00 USD. Stay tuned here on Kicksologists.com for the latest Kobe sneaker news.
