The 2004 All-Star game was hosted in Los Angeles. At the time, the Los Angeles Clippers didn’t send All-Stars to represent their franchise. The Lakers had Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant. Shaq would take MVP honors with 24 points and 11 boards while Kobe chipped in a modest 20 points on 9-12 shooting.
On feet, Kobe had the Huarache 2K4. Practically his first signature model with Nike, Kobe donned a white, red and blue colorway to match the Western Conference All-Star jersey. 12 years later, the colorway is set to return for $150 USD retail. Kobe is retiring at the end of the season and continues to lead all players in All-Star voting. It will be his 18th All-Star selection in his 20 year career.
