For basketball fans, the All-Star break is a wonderful all-in-one experience. Unfortunately, many will enjoy the festivities and watch the events from their couch.
With all the attention on Toronto, Nike chose to spread to wealth by creating pop-up shops (rightfully named SNKRS XPRESS) in three major cities: Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City. In our experience at the Los Angeles shop (located on Broadway and 3rd, directly across from the Nike Santa Monica location), we got a sneak peek at the experience set up for fans.
Of course, Los Angeles had to represent the Black Mamba. With shoes like the entire Prelude collection, the ‘Back to the Future’ Hyperdunks, and his Zoom Kobe 1s, Kobe’s time with Nike was well represented. LA native, Mr. Cartoon’s Air Force 1s was also spotted in the display.
Sorry fans, those were only on display for you to drool over. The shoes that were available for purchase include this week’s release of the All-Star ‘Royalty’ Collection, as well as the Jordan XXX, and White Cement 4s.
Nike has been pretty good keeping secrets, so don’t be shocked to see random re-releases. Bring your credit card and be ready to make some purchases off the tablets set up with the SNKRS app. We couldn’t resist and caved in by purchasing a pair of White Cement 4s:
